Red Bull Games

Red Bull have always been interested in innovation and finding new opportunities to promote their brand.  They regularly advertise ways in which creative people around the world can offer ideas and participate so they can connect with the consumer and build strong relationships. I personally respect their corporate strategy and business ethos and believe that their global success is extremely well-earned. It is incredible to think they have achieved so much considering they begun only as an energy drinks manufacturer.

Recently, they have launched a new section on the official Red Bull website, dedicated specifically to video games - both for the gaming community as a whole and for independent developers. I am particularly interested in following the growth of this new venture, as it may be possible in the future to apply for a job with the company or at least offer finished games I have created in the hope that they would be interested in buying them. Here is a link to this new campaign:

And here you can visit the game gallery to play a selection of games based on some of the wide array of Red Bull sports-related sponsorship deals:

Red Bull aren't slow to latch onto a good thing when they see it, and if they do continue to build a presence within the games industry, I have little doubt that it will grow into a profitable and well-known force to be reckoned with.

Oddly, they were just a 'branding' company. The energy drink was simply the first of the products that they branded. They don't tend to sponsor, like other companies, they take over and franchise completely.

did you play the soap box racer game?
